Cider apple vinegar is an excellent tick repellent -
Combine equal parts of vinegar and water. It may be sprayed directly on pets fur to ward off ticks. Be cautious not to spray animals eyes. Adding two tablespoons of lemon juice, citrus oil, or peppermint oil will aid in preventing fleas.
Another helpful hint is to build and display bat houses. Bats feast on 500-1000 mosquito's in one night.
This is so great! I recently went on a walk with my husband and dog and when we came back we had three ticks! It was really gross. I'm not really keen on dousing myself in deet everytime I want to walk outside. These recipes look awesome and so much safer than the stuff you can buy at the store!
ReplyDeleteThis is great! I'm going to try it very soon, because the insect season has already begun. Very helpful post :)
